MARSH HARBOUR, ABACOS, BAHAMAS

 

In 2019 Category 5 Hurricane Dorian tore through the Abaco Islands and in its wake destroyed 90 % of the existing structures.  Working in concert with local architects, builders and the municipality DKL Harbour Holdings (VHP Partner) acquired a 6 lot development on the Sea of Abaco to redevelop and revitalize the area known as Pelican Pointe.  This is a significant area to the local community and the collective partnership has committed to using local trades, vendors and suppliers in every aspect of the project.  In addition to the labor and trade commitment the partnership has set up a foundation that provides a percent of profits to the local community as additional support to the effort of rebuilding the neighborhoods.
